Diabetic visit

ok, today's visit was not as bad as I thought it would be. my A1C is still high, but it has come down from 13 to 11.5 after only a month on the new insulin. I wasn't expecting it to be down at all because most of my reading were in the 300s, still not good, but I am on the mend according to today's test results.

dr. warner did increase the dosage a bit, but hopefully this is the end of cranking UP the dosages and we can start going down once it's under control for 6 months.

you see my biggest concern is my vision. I NEED new glasses, but until my sugar is under control for 6 months or more, it effects my vision and I can't get new glasses until then. so hopefully by the end of the summer I'll have a new pair of glasses and I won't be squinting at small print among other things.

this photo was taken earlier this year in February, but it's very similar to the snowfall we are having this afternoon.

It's snowing!

it's official, our first snowfall of December '07! woo-hoo!

in fact I'm watching the sand truck trying to maneuver our corner street right now (it's a pretty small and sharp turn there at the bottom of the hill.)

now I have a perfect excuse for staying inside, bundled up with my blankey, my dog and my cup of coffee today (never mind the fact that it's my day off, but that is a bonus to it all)

I'll take some pictures of it later on this afternoon and post them up sometime tomorrow.
